After extensive research Crystal Windows have designed
and developed the most secure aluminium window and door system available
today; "System 7".
"System 7" has several unique characteristics, rendering it
superior to ordinary double glazing. The materials employed in manufacture,
the profile, the glass, fixtures and fittings all have superior security
properties.
A standard profile has a thickness of 4 cm, the "System 7" profile
has a thickness of 7 cm extruded in a moulded fashion for maximum strength.
This unique moulding of the profile gives it phenomenal strength; it is
virtually impossible for would-be intruders to bend or force open in any
way.
A standard glazed unit or door panel has an overall width of 18 mm. The
"System 7" units have an overall width of 24mm; this not only
adds security but also provides a superior thermal break.
Standard 3-point locks function by hook locks that drop into position.
"System 7" windows and doors are fitted with geared-rotary locks
which, due to their geared mechanism are much more secure.
Locking
For the purpose of added security we recommend fitting doors and windows
with 3 point locking mechanisms.the lock we fit has a geared locking action
which allows it to operate smoothly.this gearing makes it almost impossible
for would be intruders to drive a locking point out of location, and all
3 locking points are independent of each other; therefore if one point
fails the other two remain located.on sliding windows and doors a centre
lock is available for extra security. A centre lock consists of a hardened
steel pin which neatly loates within the two meeting styles of the sliders.they
are key locking and cannot be breached by would be intruders.
